Specific forms are required to ensure we receive all the information required to run your account effectively. Call us and we will send the relevant forms or visit our Download Forms page where you can download files to print the forms you need.
.
What about income tax?

For Personal Customers the gross rate of interest shown will be paid net of lower rate tax for savings. If you are non-tax payer please request a form which will enable us to pay the interest without deducting tax.

Interest is paid gross on Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs), which are tax free accounts for personal savers only, and are subject to HM Revenue & Customs rules limiting the amount that can be saved in this way.

Charities and other not for profit organisations will have interest paid without deduction of tax, please ask us if you are unsure whether your organisation qualifies.

Limited Companies receive interest gross but other businesses receive interest net of tax.
.
How can I pay money into my account?

Use one of the following methods:

Post a cheque payable to the account holder and quoting the account number. We can provide a deposit slip or you can download one here.

By standing order. Please call to obtain the correct bank details to quote.

Via internet or telephone banking. Call to obtain the bank details to quote.
.

Different account types allow various options – see relevant account for specific details. Withdrawal slips are provided for postal requests or can be downloaded here from our web-site. Telephone passwords will be issued for Call Direct and Treasury Account customers.
.
When will I start earning interest?

Your account gains interest from the day we receive your cheque. There is no need to wait for the cheque to be cleared. The cheque will, however, need to be cleared before you can withdraw the funds, which normally takes five business days.
.
